A RECORD $66,000 IN COMMUNITY GRANTS DISTRIBUTED
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated Community Op Shop, which has triumphantly distributed over $66,000 in grants to a variety of local community-based organisations. This record-breaking achievement highlights the incredible generosity and unwavering commitment of our community volunteers.
The grant distribution ceremony took place on 21 July at the Garfield Uniting Church Hall, a venue that has long been a pillar of support and unity in our community. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as representatives from various organisations gathered to receive their grants. These funds will be instrumental in supporting a wide range of initiatives, from youth programs and educational workshops to environmental projects and health services.
A special acknowledgement must be given to all the volunteers at the Community Op Shop. Your tireless efforts, dedication, and passion for helping others have made this substantial contribution possible. Without your unwavering support, none of this would have been achievable.
This significant milestone underscores the power of community spirit and the profound impact we can have when we come together to support one another. The $66,000 in grants will undoubtedly make a lasting difference in our community, fostering growth, well-being, and positive change.
Thank you once again to our Community Op Shop volunteers and everyone who supports their invaluable work. Together, we are building a brighter future for all.

After a decade of dedication, hard work, and countless learning experiences, Pharmacist Jak Hossain has proudly taken the helm at Garfield Pharmacy, succeeding Narai Jung. Jak and his team are committed to delivering exceptional service to our community with passion and enthusiasm.
Garfield Pharmacy is excited to announce the rollout of new products and services, which we look forward to sharing with you through regular updates. We are expanding our community services to include mental health support, diabetes clinics, sleep apnea care, dementia-friendly services, asthma and COPD education, lipid clinics, cardiovascular risk assessments, and medication management for the homeless.
